From choral services and an organ concert to a fall block party, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Let the music and festivities bring us together as a vibrant and tightknit community.

Honoring St. Luke and Celebrating 143 Years

Join us for a festive Choral Eucharist service and a Choral Evensong and Organ Recital

On Sunday, October 15th, we invite you to join us in honoring the feast of St. Luke and celebrating our church's 143rd building anniversary. The day will begin with a joyful Choral Eucharist service at 10 a.m., featuring beautiful musical pieces by Sir Edward Elgar, William Ratchford, and Ray Urwin. Let the harmonious melodies uplift your spirit and fill the sanctuary with a sense of unity.

In the evening, at 6 p.m., we will continue the celebration with a Choral Evensong and Organ Recital. The St. Luke's Festival Choir will enchant you with their angelic voices as they perform canticles by Herbert Murrill, responses by Terry Heisey, and an anthem by Sir William Harris. Immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere and let the music transport you to a place of tranquility.

Following the Evensong, at 7 p.m., we have a special treat for you. Boston-based musician and composer Thomas Mellan will captivate the audience with his exceptional organ skills. Prepare to be mesmerized by his rendition of Bach's Toccata, Adagio and Fugue, his own arrangement of Alkin's Etude Op 39 #7, and Reger's Fantasy and Fugue. This is an evening you won't want to miss!

Fall Block Party: A Community Gathering

Join us for a free fall block party filled with treats, entertainment, and fun activities

As part of our commitment to fostering a vibrant and tightknit community, we are thrilled to partner with the Chestnut Street Community Center to host a Fall Block Party on Saturday, October 28th, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. This free community gathering promises an evening of excitement and enjoyment for all.

Get ready to indulge in delicious treats from the treat tables and treat trunks sponsored by local families and organizations. Let the magical entertainment by St. Luke's choir members bring a smile to your face. Engage in fun children's activities that will keep the little ones entertained. And of course, savor the mouthwatering food and drinks that will be available throughout the event.

We encourage attendees to come dressed in costumes, embracing the festive spirit of the occasion. Rain or shine, the block party will go on, with provisions in place to move the festivities indoors at St. Luke's if the weather doesn't cooperate. Join us as we come together as a community, celebrate the season, and create lasting memories.
